Mission | It is the mission of United Way of the Coastal Bend to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of community.
Independent and locally operated non-profit in the Texas Coastal Bend for more than 80 years. Serve 60 communities in and around the following counties: Bee, Brooks, Duval, Jim Wells, Live Oak, Kenedy, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio and San Patricio. Their goal is to change lives in the areas of education, health and financial stability. They believe these three areas are connected and vital components to a better life. For instance: A healthy child is mentally and physically equipped for school, which leads to fewer absences and more success up to high school graduation, which then leads to the ability to get and keep a job that provides a financially sustained life.
H-E-B of Aransas Pass

H-E-B’s Community Investment Program contributes to non‑profit organizations that maintain an IRS 501(c) designation and that operate within the immediate H‑E‑B marketing area. H-E-B favors activities, projects, and causes that make a visible and positive difference. They contribute product, volunteers or cash depending on the need. Causes H-E-B funds include: education and literacy, hunger relief, health initiatives, social services, environmental programs, diversity, disaster relief and the arts.
